Concert in the Park Reimagined

Concert in the Park has been reimagined with Thomas Carr College, Tarneit, filming a live performance of its 23-piece concert band playing high-energy contemporary music with vocals. Caroline Chisholm Catholic College in Braybrook featured two of its senior student bands playing great music, reminiscent of the old-style jazz halls.

Enjoy these performance videos and be further inspired by the students as you watch their tutorials on how to improvise, play various instruments and look after your voice.

Music Performance Competition – NEW ACTIVITY

Primary schools are invited to participate in the Music Performance Competition 2021 as part of Catholic Education Week.

Schools are encouraged to submit one video/recorded student musical performance. This can be a solo, group, vocal or instrumental performance and should not go for more than four minutes.

The four winners (one from each region) will be notified and a professional film company will visit each school to produce a film that will be promoted to all schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

Schools interested in participating are asked to send their videos to fvirgato@macs.vic.edu.au by Wednesday 17 March 2021.

Finalists will be chosen in the week beginning Monday 22 March 2021. Principals of winning schools will be notified after that date.

A link to the video with all the winning schools will be released early in Term 2.
